1st...
I love using the book, The Perfect Nest in the Spring to teach about life cycles, farm animals, and story elements. First, it is an awesome book. It is so funny and engaging. It also has a sweet message.
Lastly, it fits in so well with so many lessons and themes. If you have not read this book, grab a copy.
Here is a peak at the activities my class did with this book this week:
Writing with prompts, characters and charting the beginning, middle, and end of the book.
We played a fun reading comprehension game. They love these and I think it really helps them get ready for first grade. I have a few kiddos who struggle with this, so we practice a lot!
Here is some student work from Friday! I love the pictures so much!
Now for the fun part... I am going to have a simple contest for give 10 people this unit.
Please sign up, share, and hopefully hear from me nest Sunday.
